Medical Standards
(a) Height: (i) Asst Commandant (GD): 157 cms minimum. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. regulations. (ii) Asst Commandant (Pilot) and CPL holders : Height Minimum 162.5 cms, leg length minimum 99 cms.
(b) Weight: Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable.
(c) Chest: Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 ems
(d) Eye Sight: (i) Asst Commandant (GD) 6/6 6/9 - Uncorrected without Glass. 6/6 6/p - Corrected with Glass.
(ii) Asst Commandant GD(Pilot)/} 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other CPL holders SSA correctable to 6/6.

Stage -I Preliminary Selection
Stage -II Final Selection: The candidates qualifying Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection. The date and venue for Final Selection Board (FSB) will be uploaded on Indian Coast Guard website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in.
How to Apply
Candidates can apply 'Online only' on joinindiancoastguard.gov.in from 25.06.2017 to 02.07.2017 till 1700 Hrs.
To fill up "Online" application the candidates need to logon to the Website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.inand click on opportunities button.
Read the instruction carefully and proceed as given below:-
(i) Select the advertisement for Recruitment of Assistant Commandant- (Regular 01/2018 Batch). (ii) Select any one post to be applied from any one of the following: - (a) Asst. Commandant General Duty (b) Asst. Commandant General Duty (Pilots) (ac) Asst. Commandant (Commercial Pilot License-SSA)
(iii) Click on the 'I Agree' button and the 'Online Application' will be displayed
(iv) Candidate have to upload the photograph and signature in jpeg format (image quality 200 dpi). The size of photograph and signature '~ust be between 10 kb to 40 kb and 10 kb to 30 kb respectively.
(v) On completion of filling application, recheck your data entry details carefully once again prior clicking on the Submit button.
(vi) Candidates must note down this application number for future reference and for retrieval/ reprint of e-admit card. Applicants to take print out of the e-admit card through URL http://joinindiancoastguard.gov.in//reprint.aspx from 08 Jul 2017 to 14 Jul 2017.
(vii) Candidates are required to print two copies of the e-Admit card with recent identical photograph with blue background (not older than 03 months) and to be carried the recruitment centre.,

What is the Age Limit for Assistant Commandant Posts - 01/2018 Batch ?
01 Jul 1993 to 30 Jun 1997 (Both dates inclusive). The upper age limit of OBC/SC & ST is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules in vogue. However, SC and ST category candidates already appeared in PSB/FSB of Special Recruitment Drive of 01/2018 batch are not eligible for the current batch. Maximum 5% relaxation in aggregate in the degree certificate for SC/ST candidates, NCC 'C' (A grade) holders, Sports person of National level (Inter State & above) and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service. No relaxation for 12th class marks.
