GST Mitra Registration Form 2017 - Excise and Taxation Department, Punjab has invited application for filling vacancies of GST Mitra in Punjab State. GST has been rolled out w.e.f. 1st July, 2017. In GST Regime, all the compliances viz. Registration, Returns, Refunds, etc. are IT based. There are approximately 2 lac small and marginal dealers in Punjab who may not be conversant with GSTN protocols for filing Returns and other applications. The Department of Excise & Taxation, Punjab is launching GST Mitra Scheme for the purpose of skill development of unemployed youth and hand holding of such small and marginal tax payers.The Department seeks to create a group of skilled 'GST MITRAS', who will be available in his locality/doorstep at affordable costs, throughout the State of Punjab. Selected candidates would be trained under the scheme. These trained "GST MITRAS " can independently assist taxpayers for consideration/payment to be mutually decided by GST Mitra and the tax payer in furnishing the details of outward supplies, inward supplies and returns, filing claims or refunds, filing any other applications etc.
In the pilot phase, applications are invited from candidates of Patiala district, of which eligible candidates shall be selected for training. The number of candidates will be decided after receiving applications and capacity of available Training Centers.

Qualification
Any person will be eligible to apply for GST Mitra Scheme who:
1. has passed Punjabi of Matriculation or its equivalent standard, and
2. has passed a graduate or postgraduate degree from any Indian University and
3. has a functional /basic knowledge of computers.
Selection Process
The successful candidates will go through a training program, including web based and classroom based training program. Study material will be provided to the successful candidates, which will be prepared by Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioner GST-II (Training).

Eligible candidates can apply in prescribed application format and submit a scanned copy of filled application by e-mail at [email protected] by 14/08/2017.
The applicants are advised to visit the department website on regular basis. The list of selected candidates shall be displayed at Department website (www.pextax.com). The selected candidates will be trained by the Department. They will be awarded a certificate as GST Mitra after successful completion of Training.
