News: Cancellation of Junior Trainees & Field Assistant Trainees Written Test
- Vizag Steel has decided to cancel and re-conduct the written test held on 09/07/2017 against Rectt. Advt No. 03/2017 for 736 Junior Trainees & Field Assistant Trainees Vacancies. Fresh date will be announced in due course and the information shall be uploaded at the “CAREERS” icon of www.vizagsteel.com website.

News: Admit Card Released for Junior Trainees & Field Assistant Trainees Posts
- Vizag Steel has released the admit card for Junior Trainees & Field Assistant Trainees for which exam to be held on 09.07.2017.

Junior Trainee – 645 Posts
- Qualification: SSC with full-time ITI / Diploma in Engineering in the following Trades/ Disciplines (60% marks in regular ITI / Diploma in Engineering for Gen/OBC candidates, 50% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates)
- Pay Scale: During Training, will be paid a monthly stipend of ₹10,700/- (consolidated) during the first year and a monthly stipend of ₹12,200 (consolidated) during the remaining period of training. On satisfactory completion of training, Junior Trainees will be considered for appointment on probation to regular post i.e. Technician, subject to availability of vacancies in any Operation / Maintenance / Service / Mines area with a minimum Basic Pay of ₹16,800 in the pay scale of ₹16,800-3%-24,110 (S-3 Grade).
- Vacancies: 645
Field Assistant Trainee – 91 Posts
- Qualification: Matric /SSC from a recognized Board or Intermediate, ITI
- Pay Scale: During Training, Field Assistant Trainees will be paid a monthly stipend of ₹8,600 (consolidated) during the first year and a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 (consolidated) during the remaining period of training. On satisfactory completion of training, Field Assistant Trainee will be considered for appointment on probation to regular post i.e. Field Assistant, subject to availability of vacancies in any Operation / Maintenance / Service / Mines area with a minimum Basic Pay of ₹15,830 in the pay scale of ₹15,830- 3%-22,150 (S-1 Grade).

Selection Process

Junior Trainee:

Written Test will be conducted on General Aptitude (including knowledge in English and Telugu) and Domain (Mechanical / Electrical / Metallurgy). Test papers will be set in bilingual in English and Telugu. Candidates shortlisted based on performance in written test will be called for Certificate Verification. Merit list will be prepared separately for each branch and candidates will be selected as per the vacancies in each branch.

Selection will be through Written Test and Certificate Verification.
Candidates will have to appear for the written test at their own cost. Written test will be conducted at test centre(s) in Andhra Pradesh.
Likely date for Written Test is 9th July 2017 (Forenoon).

Field Assistant Trainee:
Written Test will be conducted on General Aptitude (including knowledge in English and Telugu). Test papers will be set in bilingual in English and Telugu. Candidates shortlisted based on performance in written test will be called for Certificate Verification followed by Physical test.

Selection will be through Written Test, Certificate Verification & Physical Test for other than PWD candidates and through Written Test & Certificate Verification for PWD candidates.
Candidates will have to appear for the written test at their own cost. Written test will be conducted at test centre(s) in Andhra Pradesh.
Likely date for Written Test is 9th July 2017 (Afternoon).
